Connected Energy bolsters sales team with three new recruits

08/02/2023

Connected Energy, one of the leading developers of behind-the-meter battery energy storage systems, has expanded its sales team in response to an increased demand for its products.

The drive for energy stability coupled with the desire for decarbonisation has brought a surge of interest in battery energy storage systems which has led to the company’s commercial sales turnover quadrupling over the last twelve months.

Joining the existing team is Jonathan Mann as Technical Sales Manager, Jake Donaldson as Bid Writer and Rishabh Kaul as Technical Sales Executive. The new appointments mark the latest phase of Connected Energy’s expansion which has seen the company’s headcount increase from 20 to 30 in the last six months.

Jonathan Mann joins the team with over 15 years of experience in technical sales within the renewable energy and energy efficiency sectors. He will be responsible for leading Connected Energy’s technical sales and overseeing new business development. He brings a wealth of experience in both engineering and commercial sales, having served most recently as Business Development Manager for battery storage company, Powerstar.

North East native, Jake Donaldson, has worked in bid and tender writing roles in the IT and landscaping sectors over the last seven years. He will lead all tenders on behalf of the company and respond to the increasing number of bid requests.

Rishabh Kaul, from India, has an MBA from Loughborough University before making the move into sales and account management. He joins the team to support the company’s technical sales and will undertake energy feasibility studies on behalf of customers.

“Over the last twelve months, we have seen the business grow rapidly. With a huge increase in our sales pipeline, our new team members will help us to develop new business opportunities and enhance the experience we can offer to our customers. The company has exciting plans for growth over the next twelve months, with a range of new products and services coming to market, as well as international expansion plans. The development of our sales team will be crucial to driving this expansion and I am delighted to welcome our new recruits to join us on this journey.”

Jonathan Mann, Technical Sales Manager, said: “I am excited to be joining Connected Energy at a time when both the company and the sector are seeing such rapid growth.
