Meet the Team

Matthew is our founder and CEO. He established the company in 2010 following his work in a number of energy and transport consultancies. Matthew is driven by developing a business that joins the worlds of energy storage, electric vehicles and the circular economy.

Alex oversees the operations of the company, leading the team responsible for delivering the scale-up of our second life product. He also plays a key role in building partnerships and working in collaboration with our battery supply partners. Alex has a decade of e-mobility experience at firms such as Renault, Stellantis, Toyota, JLR and Arrival.

With four decades of automotive engineering and manufacturing leadership, Geraint oversees the company’s product development. Geraint has extensive experience in complex engineering project delivery, with previous roles at organisations including Ford, Lotus, Cosworth Racing and Ceres.

Michael is responsible for the development of specifications, technical architecture and commercial viability of our battery storage products. He brings a wealth of project engineering experience to the business.

Tania has become an invaluable part of the fabric of Connected Energy, with seven years rising up to Operations Manager, she is now our Head of Sustainability. Building on her commitment to ISO accreditations and operational processes, she now also looks at our environmental impact, as well as our people, culture, and community.

Frazer joined Connected Energy in 2016 and now leads our data services team. Using his background in mathematics and energy engineering, he is developing big data and artificial intelligence tools to further optimise performance of our systems.
